Claas Xerion Bidirectional Tractor Mounted Runway Broom

*  Integrally mounted to the cab side of a bi-directional Claas Xerion tractor
*  Requires three available hydraulic circuits on the tractor to control lift and lower, angle left and right, deflector up and
down. Tractor third pump feature required for optional air blower system.
*  46” diameter. 16, 18 and 20 foot broom lengths
*  438 rpm broom with 2656 ft-lbs of available torque at 5075 psi maximum working pressure 
*  Hydrostatic broom drive utilizing the tractor’s cab side 1000 RPM PTO, shaft connected to a pump drive gear box
driving a Sauer – Danfoss 90 series pump for infinitely variable broom rotational speed control from the cab
*  Includes broom side Craig 55 series quick hitch, pump drive gear box support, and dedicated hydraulic reservoir with
cooler
*  Power transmitted to the broom core via gearboxes utilizing keyed tapered hubs to prevent any looseness in the
connection for vibration concerns. Molded urethane drive cogs for torque transmission. Hardened steel pilot plates
and core sprockets to support the radial loads.
*  True free floating weight transfer broom head hitch for improved tractive effort, braking, steerability and overall
handling
*  Broom oscillation of 10 degrees (+5, -5) permitting broom head tilt independent of tractor to compensate for surface
variations to minimize brush pattern variation during operation.
*  Entire broom head vibration analyzed as final QA with report on vibration spectra (FFT plot).
*  Optional air blower: 11PEW: 11,520CFM @ 314MPH, Engine side mounted. Driven and controlled by tractor
auxiliary hydraulics. Tractor third pump option required (3770 psi @ 62 gpm)
